Problem Wildlife Articles

Fish and Wildlife Officers are the primary responders to human/wildlife conflicts. Here in Washington State some of the animals that primarily pose a threat to human safety include bears, cougars, and moose though other animals can also be responsible. These incidents tend to be highly publicized events that draw a lot of media attention. Often times these situations present unique challenges for the officer as he/she tries to keep the public safe while still looking out for the best and safest interest of the animal involved.
