WGA - Jon Jeschke Memorial Scholarship
The Washington Game Warden Association (WGA) will present a scholarship to TWO deserving students who show good character and appreciate the great outdoors. The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school senior who will attend a college or university in the coming academic year or to a currently enrolled college student. This scholarship is based on merit (curriculum, GPA, community service), is for one year (non-renewable), and is in the amount of $1000 for WGA member's immediate family & $500 open for anyone.
Eligible candidates must be enrolled in a college to obtain any college degree. A Bachelor’s Degree in natural resource science or criminal justice is preferred.
There is no application form. An applicant must provide the WGA Scholarship Committee with the following.
A typewritten essay outlining:
A transcript through at least the first semester or second trimester of the senior year (high school) or the most recent college year.
Two letters of recommendation from any of the following:
Proof of acceptance to the college or university of the student’s choice. Required only after selection by WGA Scholarship Committee.
